A double after Cam Dinamico Up. Is the Cam Twin Pulsar compatible with the parts we already have?

19 Dec 2019

Good evening.

I would appreciate a piece of advice. I own the Cam Dinamico Up. After a year, we are expecting another addition to our family, which was a bit unplanned. Therefore, I need a double stroller for siblings. I can't find any information about the availability of only the chassis of the Cam Twin Pulsar. Is it even available separately? And is it compatible with the Dinamico parts we already own?

Thank you.

Hello!

The carrycot and the seat unit of your Cam Dinomico Up are, attachment-wise, compatible with the Cam Twin Pulsar. HOWEVER, the stroller was made for different seat units, which is not ideal. With two seat units attached, there may be a problem with the space in between (as well as with the center of gravity). The carrycot is the same, so that's no problem. From your point of view, it also saves you some money as you can use the carrycot you already have.

The problem is that the chassis is not really available separately at this point. It used to be, in the past, but this model is not that popular or wide-spread anymore; therefore, it is almost impossible to get the chassis separately. I recommend approaching the Cam dealers and online shops offering this brand/model, and ask whether it is something they can order for you. They will provide the cost options depending on your requirements, and you can also ask their opinion about compatibility with a different seat. Eventually, you can buy a stroller with seat units only, allowing you to use your own carrycot on it (I like this idea the best, I must say).

As an alternative, you could look for a second-hand Twin Pulsar chassis or the complete set. By doing so, you will get a cheaper, budget-friendly stroller system - and, in theory, you can sell your Dinamico or, for example, the parts you don't need anymore…

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
