A lightweight, stylish compact stroller suitable for an older child

29 Jul 2020

Hello,

Could you advise a spacious, lightweight, stylish stroller/buggy? I am noticing that the Cybex Eezy seems to be the trend, but I can't say I am a fan of its canopy. I am also unsure if my older toddler will fit in it.

I don't want a three-wheeler nor anything with a bucket seat. A two-year-old should fit in it comfortably. The wheels shouldn't be too small nor too large. Price-wise, I'd welcome a more affordable model, but I will pay more if necessary. There has to be leg rest adjustment. I don't want a Baby Jogger, nor an umbrella stroller.

Thank you

Hi there!

Yeah, you may be right - the Cybex Eezy S+2 is a bit trendy at the moment, but that is given its well-thought-of functionality, the compactness in ration to the generous space for the child, the low weight... making it one of the best in its category. Truth to be told, I would also recommend it to you based on what you are looking for and asking for. OK, you don't like its hood, BUT that is a small part of it, while the buggy being sturdy, quiet, and spacious enough - and I would make a compromise in such a (rare) case. It's really quite a good find for these needs - AND it is actually possible to have a new hood made based on your wants if you strongly feel like it. Just find a tailor around - he or she should be able to make a new one from a different material, and even one with a peek-a-boo window or a longer sun visor 😉 And - because of a different hood - I also recommend looking at the first generation - the Cybex Eezy S+.

Of course, if you simply don't want this model or brand, I will not make you buy it any further. I will move on to recommend something else you don't want 😀 - the not-three-wheeler Baby Jogger City Mini Zip (even with smaller wheels, it drives beautifully)... But yeah, I know, you said no BJ; therefore, I will also recommend the TFK Dot 2, and the almost-umbrella stroller - Maclaren Techno Arc. If available in your country, the Baby Design Wave would also be a possibility (out of the affordable models)…

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
