A pushchair for a tall mum: lightweight and compact (after a Stokke Xplory V6). The Greentom Upp?

07 Jul 2020

Hi, Eli,

I want to ask you to recommend a pushchair for me. I am 184cm tall, and owning a Stokke Xplory V6. I need something lightweight, compact - my DS is 13mo, 12 kg. It would be perfect if the seat could be reversed, but I can live without that.

What do you think of the Greentom?
Thank you so much!

Hello hello!

Truth to be told, after your Xplory, nothing will be tall enough. If you really want something tall while more lightweight and compact, there's not much to look at, maybe except the same-brand models like the Stokke Scoot or the newer Stokke Beat. I can also mention the Joie Versatrax, which is a cheaper model - but with a higher-positioned seat... ooor check the Valco Snap Ultra Trend. These reversible pushchairs I can think of that would be possible to be recommended.

Next, I will suggest a non-reversible model. There, the seat won't be high up, but the thing to watch out would be a tall, ideally adjustable handlebar.

The Greentom Upp is actually a very nice, practical model, but the info that the handlebar is fixed and 104 cm high is not perfect. It's not too low, but it's not high up either, and you being quite tall makes me worried there. I would strongly recommend trying this stroller out before buying it if you ended up really wanting it anyway. It' better to go somewhere and try than later be suffering every time you slump over your pushchair or kick it...

The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 would be much more functional in this case, and also very spacious and great to push - and even bloggers like this model quite a lot, even if it doesn't seem that fashion-positive on the first glance. It's a three-wheeler, yeah, but it's great, seriously.

If three wheels would be a no-go for you, also check a non-reversible Valco Snap Trend - a spacious model with a height-adjustable handlebar. A more functional, but less stylish suggestion would also be the [/kocikopedia/gesslein-s4-air/| Gesslein S4]].

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
