An occasional buggy to keep in the car. 2yo and a tall parent. Baby Jogger, Cybex, GB, Ergobaby?

29 Apr 2020

Greetings,

I am searching for a travel buggy to keep in the car boot that I will only use in times of need with my 2-year-old if he's tired, and so on. It doesn't need to be all-terrain. I was looking at the Baby Jogger Mini Zip, Cybex Eezy, GB, or Ergobaby Metro. What to choose - when I am also tall (175-180 cm)?

Thank you,
Andy

Hi!

I would, mainly for an older toddler, consider the backrest length as the main factor, looking at those models that sport a high one. Also, since this type of pushchairs/buggies usually doesn't feature an adjustable handlebar, I would be careful choosing one that is at least slightly taller (than average).

From the more affordable ones, I will suggest the CBX Etu Plus - its backrest is whopping 52 cm! Also, from the more expensive ones, the Cybex Eezy S+²also has a nice, spacious seat for its type.

Comfort- and canopy-wise, the Ergobaby Metro you mention is certainly a very nice choice. And if the style is also a big factor in your decisionmaking, I would certainly look at the GB Qbit+ All-City (it's one of my personal favourites, I simply love its design ad functionality). From these, pick any that you feel like liking because they're all very good choices for you.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
