Joie Nitro and Joie Juva wheels - are they compatible, and are the Nitro's better for woodland walks?

Hi,

I have the Joie Juva and am looking at some spare Nitro wheels, but are they compatible? And are the Nitro wheels better to use on woodland walks?

Thanks, Steph

Hello!

The Juva has truly very small wheels, meant only for shops, airports, and so on... so in theory, yeah, the Nitro's wheels are more capable of dealing with "terrain", but they are by no means terrain wheels. All umbrella-type strollers are meant only for the city and more manicured roads. Woodland walks, for me, mean large wheels, sturdier chassis (for sure not this buggy-like one) that will endure a bit and won't get all wobbly after such rides, and some more suspension. It will be so much more comfortable to push and comfier for the child to sit in as well. I recommend a three-wheeler with tires, or at least something smaller of that kind (like a Baby Jogger City Mini GT2) - it's ok even if second-hand bought... and the umbrella model leave for city use.

And there's no way of fitting the Nitro wheels on the Juva, I'm afraid. The wheel connection won't have enough space for the other wheels; they are made for the small ones. And the brake is made differently as well.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
