Which 'umbrella'-like stroller shall I choose for city strolls, holidays, and car rides - the Kinderkraft Mini Dot or the Britax Römer Holiday? Which of them is better and more suitable even for a bigger child? Alternatively, which stroller with an ultra-compact fold would you recommend? I quite like the GB Pockit, but the absence of a (full) recline is putting me off…
Hiya!
Comparing the Kinderkraft Mini Dot and the Britax Holiday, the Holiday offers a little more space I'd say. Mainly in the backrest part, that is - so it can be used for a longer time than the Mini Dot. On the other hand, the Holiday doesn't offer any recline; its backrest is fixed. Therefore, it is destined for the role of a holiday stroller for older children. If you are looking for a stroller that can be kept in the car, used occasionally, and you are not bothered much with the kid napping in it, I don't think the absence of recline matters. I would go for the simplest option because it is so easy to use (+ I think it's a more high-quality brand), meaning I recommend the Holiday slightly more. I would suggest the Mini Dot only if your priority is the price and the recline.
When it comes to a compact fold, the GB Pockit is a winner. However, thanks to so many joints, its sturdiness and durability are not that great. If you are looking for something in the middle with a limited recline, check the higher version Pockit+ All-City – it is a more expensive model - but more elaborated, spacious and with at least some recline.
