Looking for the right stroller system and can’t decide between the ABC Design, Cam, and Espiro brand

26 Nov 2019

Hello.

I still don't know which 2in1/3in1 system to choose. Finally, we have shortlisted three brands:
- ABC Design- Cam- Espiro
We have tried out all three. We can afford each of them, but I am still unable to decide which brand and what model to go for. Can you help me, please? I would also love to know the pros and, more importantly, cons.

Thank you.

Hello!

When it comes to the ratio between the price and the functionality, I think the ABC Design brand is your best choice. As for the best ABC Design models, I would go for the Salsa 4 - a very nice pleasant weight for what it is, larger wheels with a soft suspension, spaciousness, the XXL hood, and an excellent shopping basket.

Moving on to the Cam brand. Cam travel systems are comfortable, nice looking, easy to use. They have great carrycots that are, however, usually rather low on the chassis, therefore, probably not the best suited for tall parents. The wheels are, especially the front, predominantly urban, so I wouldn't advise using the Cam stroller systems to conquer a demanding terrain on a day-to-day basis. I would consider the popular Dinamico Up or the newer Techno, if I was choosing a Cam. In the carrycot mode, they're just great, so that’s one of the options to consider before you move onto a stroller - just to buy a chassis with a carrycot while you'll realize what it is that you love and that you don't want in a stroller later. I will also mention a similar, if not slightly better, stroller system I would recommend (and is function-wise very comparable) - the Moon Style.

The Espiro stroller systems, especially the Next line, are well made. The carrycot is super comfortable for a baby, but on the other hand, also quite heavy and bulky. If you don't mind that, then it’s an alright choice. However, over time, regular loading such a pram/pushchair into the boot of your car or on public transport will become a pain-in-the-a** (sorry 🙂 ), and it will prompt you swapping for a lightweight stroller with a non-reversible seat in the future in all probability.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
