Hello!
I have personally seen, measured, and tried out the Peg-Pérego Ypsi in a shop. I think the design is clever and the upholstery beautiful and pleasant to touch. The Ypsi is spacious and should be able to handle a child up to two, maybe two and a half years of age for sure. Like the rest of the Perego strollers, the Ypsi features an awesome, extra-spacious shopping basket, and the simple fold is fantastic. And yes, this model is ok for taller parents. I didn’t find it too low, although the position of the carrycot is not too high either. Your partner is super-tall, so I may, rather, recommend testing the stroller in a shop because of that - just to be certain he will not be kicking into the rear axle while walking. Overall I'd say it should be fine.
To give you a full picture, let’s talk about the bad points. Like the Book-series of PP strollers, the Ypsi is not designed for all-terrain (even if sometimes they may claim so). It is an easily maneuverable stroller with alright wheels, but the suspension is not very soft. I think the chassis is pretty much just urban, and given how the Peg-Pérego strollers are made, regular rides over bumpy terrain may loosen up the joints, and overall, weaken the chassis. However, the Ypsi IS a lovely, but urban stroller.
