a stroller expert answers:

The first stroller system with a spacious car seat as well as with air-filled wheels

12 Mar 2020

Hello.

I would like to ask what stroller system would be suitable for a child due at the beginning of October (for the winter season). I am looking for a 3in1 system with a car seat that can be used as long as possible (ideally for more than six months). Furthermore, the stroller should be able to handle paths still covered in snow, etc. - it has to have inflatable wheels. Is there such a stroller system on the market???

Thank you.

Hello!

Such a shame you didn't mention your budget. There's plenty of stroller systems on the market, but it is a very different thing - choosing a cheaper system OR choosing out of the more expensive models. I can think about a few suitable models, but first, I want to emphasize that the correlation between winter and a massive carrycot is not quite right. The winter baby will be rather tiny for the whole duration of winter, so it can also fit any average carrycot - even with a footmuff. The quality and spaciousness of the car seat are undoubtedly more of a priority.

So if you are looking for a spacious car seat, I would go for the Maxi-Cosi Cabriofix - an excellent and very roomy car seat. Maxi-Cosi adapters are available for the majority of the stroller systems, including those I will mention below. I just want to say that I would recommend purchasing the car seat separately, and most likely, I would choose the Cabriofix, if spaciousness is a priority.

Because the air-filled wheels and a stroller system as a whole is required, the first one coming to my mind would be the Cybex Talos S. It will be released this year, but you still have some time, so it may be worth a wait.

Besides, I would also consider something like the Joie Versatrax or the Espiro Only, if the budget is limited. If you are into these Polish type of stroller systems, also check the Bebetto brand. ABC Design Salsa 4 Air is also worth considering. More expensive models would include the Emmaljunga NXT90, Britax Go Big, or the Britax Smile...

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
