Which stroller to choose - the Gesslein S4 Air or the Britax B-motion 4 Plus?

12 Oct 2019

Hello.

Which one of these will be able to handle some terrain (also snow), and is suitable for children of 3 AND 1.5 years of age, please? My children are not used to sleeping in the stroller. I will be buying a second-hand model and would prefer a stroller with a soft suspension. The compactness is not that important. Thank you.

Hello!

With the total length of the seat surface being almost 40 inches (~1 meter), I'd say the Britax B-Motion 4 Plus is the winner here. Thanks to large wheels with tires, it can handle some all-terrain, as well as snow, better. A disadvantage would be a not-very-upright sitting position and a center of gravity that is not ideal for everyone.

If you are more inclined to the Gesslein S4, don’t worry, it is a good choice too. You may even prefer the maneuverability of Gesslein, although I am tempted to recommend Britax - because it certainly ticks most of the boxes off your list. It is maybe worth the effort to go and see/try them both in a store, ideally with a bigger child - if you have the opportunity to do so. Both of these models feature quite a soft suspension (considering them being a quick- and pretty compactly folding type, of course).

I would also consider the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 in this case.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
