Which stroller with a reversible seat unit has a high backrest?

12 Oct 2019

Hello.

Can you recommend a stroller with a reversible seat unit, that has a long (at least 21", or around 55cm) backrest, please?

Thank you very much.

Hi.

You didn’t mention much about your needs for its foldability, ability to handle rougher terrain or your budget, so my answer is going to be quite general.

I am sure you are aware that mostly the front-facing/non-reversible models feature a lot of space, with possibly a long backrest too for example, the Mountain Buggy three-wheelers. The reversible strollers can be relatively spacious, but the dimensions of the seat are usually still on the smaller side - given you need to take off space for the frame of the seat and the reversing mechanisms and attachments.

A longer backrest can also often be found in strollers with a bucket-type seat unit. Have a look at the Joolz Geo or the Seed Papilio. Thanks to the shape of the bucket-type seat and the lowered hood, the offered space (mainly in width) can be compromised, compared to strollers with a more traditional, lay-flat seat unit - even despite a shorter backrest of the lay-flat models. However, always look at the stroller before purchase, if you have the opportunity.

Moving on, I also need to mention the Easywalker Mosey+ featuring a backrest that is 22,5" (57 cm) long.
The reversible Britax Go/ Go Next or the Go Big offers plenty of space too.

The portfolio of Mamas&Papas also has some great strollers with a reversible and long seat unit surface - for ex. the Ocarro, the Armadillo Flip, Flip XT or Flip XT 2.

And a stroller line I don't want to forget either would be the Emmaljunga's NXT60 or NXT90 one - they have the F (=flat) models with a more traditional type of seat, and the non-F - lay flat ones. Both types are very spacious for a stroller with a reversible seat unit.

Your -very berry- Eli.

Now, this is your place to ask. I'm listening.
