Which twin strollers will fit into an elevator with an 30-inch-door (approx. 80 cm) wide door?

I am searching for a model that I can enter our elevator door without any use of force or special manipulation... and then, in a similar manner, get out of it 🙂

Hello!

In fact, many models fit into this dimension. Manufacturers have recently started to take great care of the twin parents’ need of fitting into standard doors 🙂 So it mainly depends on your budget, your own requirements about which features the stroller should certainly have, and of course the age of the twins plus your taste.

As far as the price goes, there is a lot to choose from. There are several affordable models available. An example is the simple Joie Aire Twin, but I would definitely use it with some kind of nest (if you mean to use it for newborns). Models also worth considering in this kind of lightweight, compact category are the Valco Baby Snap Duo, the Maclaren Twin Techno or Baby Jogger City Mini Double /

It can be made more narrow and used as a single stroller. I consider his biggest rival to be the Mountain Buggy Duet - it is really slim and practical (for a double). On Duet - unlike Donkey - you cannot turn the main seats, but there is the possibility to convert the (optional) carrycots into smaller-in-size bucket-type seat units. Those can also be clicked in the opposite direction (which is great for the transitioning phase after carrycot).

Another way to save space is to choose a tandem. In such a case, the seat units are clicked on the chassis one behind the other. They may be either about the same height or one lower and one higher. In the case of different seat heights, we mainly distinguish two types. One called "stadium seating", where the rear seat is slightly higher than the front one - which offers the advantage of both children having a good view. The opposite type, where the rear seat is lower (but many times has it's feet in the shopping basket) - is, however, more compact, which can be a huge advantage for some. The view of the second child will, of course, be limited.

One of the most popular models in this category is the versatile Baby Jogger City Select or City Select Lux, which you can use as a single as well as a double stroller. It can also be used with two carrycots, seats, car seats and any combination of these. Other options include ABC Design Zoom - be careful, it is quite long, so not for the smallest of elevators; Oyster Max 2 or Uppababy Vista - but check first, if they are available in your country (or order directly from the producer). From the more luxurious models, I want to mention the Joolz Geo, Babystyle Egg, Thule Sleek, Nuna Demi Grow or the "designer" stroller Mima Kobi.
