The Bébé Confort Elea is an elegant, oval-shaped stroller. The low center of gravity contributes to the stability and easy maneuverability of this stroller. It is equipped with a simple brake with two pedals, activated by pushing one pedal and deactivated by pushing the other one.
You can lock the swivel front wheels while standing behind the stroller because the swivel locking mechanism is located on the side. So practical, you no longer need to be bending in front of the stroller. The chassis of the Elea can be folded in two different ways - the ‘daily’ fold and the ‘optimal’ fold. The easy-to-do ‘daily’ fold with the seat unit attached is less compact, but great for frequent folding. The seat unit has to be removed for the very compact, 3D ‘optimal’ fold. Thanks to the memory button, you can take the carrycot, the seat or the car seat off the chassis easily using just one hand.
The shaped seat unit is reversible and fully reclinable, making the stroller suitable even for smaller babies. The seat is spacious enough for bigger children too. When adjusting the backrest, the leg rest is lifted up automatically. The safety harness can be easily adjusted using the same principle as the belts of a car seat. The stroller comes with a rain cover, car seat adapters and the Baby Nest which is an insert in the form of a soft bag featuring three layers of fabric to ensure the highest comfort for the newborn lying in the seat. There is also an option to add the optional foldable carrycot, the Amber carrycot that you can also use in the car, or the older hard Dreami carrycot. Using adapters, the car seat can be attached to the chassis too, to create a travel system.
The Elea was launched in 2010 and underwent a small facelift in 2012. You can identify the newer models by the extendable hood and the black plastic joints which replaced the grey ones. This stroller was also launched under the Maxi-Cosi brand as the Maxi-Cosi Elea.

Parent reviews of the Bébé Confort Elea
I bought this stroller as a pre-loved one as I wanted to use it only when we are at my parents', so I wouldn't have to carry our primary stroller with us (it is a bit heavy). I have to say, it was a good purchase. We used the stroller with both my kids. We even gifted it for another baby in our family after that, so it truly survived a lot.
The seat unit can be either forward- or parent-facing, and it can be fully reclined. The leg rest is adjusted automatically with the backrest. The hood can be enlarged by unzipping. It is comfortable for the baby, easy to maneuver for the parent, and with an easily accessible basket underneath.

Hey, Angela,
It is not a completely easy process and also includes sliding the fabrics off. I personally don't really remove fabrics for washing - I have put together my tips for stroller cleaning and maintenance HERE in this article. If you still want to do that, ideally consult the manual and be sure to take footage - use a camera to record the process because the biggest issue is usually to put them back on. Also, never use fabric softener or too high temperatures nor tumble drying.
