Bébé Confort Loola Up

DISCONTINUED in 2013
see 1 parent review

The Bébé Confort Loola Up is an in-between version of the stroller Loola and the second generation New Loola. The Loola Up has a single metal handlebar which can be folded in the joint. The Loola Up offers a telescopic fold, is quite compact and once folded, the stroller is also free-standing so you don’t need a lot of storage space. The chassis is made of aluminum and steel and equipped with double front wheels providing better stability. To handle uneven surfaces, you can lock the swivel wheels while standing behind pushchair thanks to the Modulo Drive system located on the side of the stroller. So practical, you no longer need to be bending in front of the stroller. What is more, the suspension can be adjusted as well. The Loola Up features a simple brake with two pedals, activated by pushing one pedal and deactivated by pushing the other one.

The reversible seat can be reclined fully. While reclining the seat, the leg rest is lifted up automatically. The padded seat cover is reversible and can be easily removed and washed. To create a full-featured stroller system from birth, you can change the seat for the carrycot or a car seat. Depending on the type of the car seat, you might not need adapters.

Lightweight, easy to fold

4

I bought this pushchair for my second kid. It is lightweight, easy to fold, and the Windoo Plus carrycot usable instead of a car seat can be purchased optionally. We already used this carrycot, and it was very comfortable for a small baby.

The seat unit can be turned in both directions - parent- and forward-facing. It is ergonomic and comfortable for the kid. The backrest can recline fully, and the leg rest is lifted up with reclining the backrest. The pushchair does have a suspension system, so it doesn't shake the baby too much.

A weakness is the double wheels in the front. They are very hard to control in small places; for example, they swivel in the wrong direction in the elevator. However, after some time, you get used to how to handle them.

Your questions about the Bébé Confort Loola Up

1)

Hello,

I have Bebeconfort Creatis.fix. Which Bebeconfort or Maxi-Cosi stroller can be used with the Creatis.fix car seat?

Thanks

Hey, mustafa,

You can use ANY Bébé Confort stroller that has the Modulo Clip system - there, you won't need adapters. The Loola Up and the Elea have that, and any other stroller with this system available in your country will do.

I have a Maxi Cosi Bébé Comfort Loola Up. I was wondering which car seats are compatible with it. Thank you. We are in the UK. It is for a newborn.

Thank you

Hi, Bini,

You can attach Maxi-Cosi/Bébé Confort cars seats, but also Cybex, Joie, Recaro, Kiddy, Nuna, Clek Liing to it (as the other brands have the same attachment system). You will, however, need adapters, and as the stroller is discontinued, that might be a problem. The only car seat I know of that clicks on without those is the Bebe Confort Creatis, though that I also think is not sold anymore. Check if you can find adapters on eBay or other classifieds offers, and if you do, you can use a car seat with this.

How do I get the swivel wheels to turn side to side?

Hi, Neema,

There should be a switch, a kind of button on the side that locks the wheels and allows them to swivel again. Check on the side of the wheels.

Hi, pls advise... my stroller doesn’t want to fold, what might be the reason? It was folding an hour ago and then we went to the mall, when we came back it wouldn’t fold anymore.

Hi, Yolo,

I believe something must have broken inside, as the internal mechanisms in the folding joints are responsible for the start of the folding. This is not something you can repair easily, it has to be taken apart and there's no guarantee it will work afterward, that something is not completely broken. I would suggest trying cleaning and oiling your buggy - here's our guide for stroller maintenance, and if that won't start the folding again, your stroller is most probably damaged.

Hi,

Can you advise what age range the Bebe Confort Loola up pushchair goes up to, please?

Thanks.

Hello, Lil,

Our suggested age range is under every stroller, also the Looka Up's. Because of the reversible seat with a shorter leg rest, a comfortable usage of the Loola Up is about 2 years, maybe 2.5 years if your child is on the smaller die of the height range. This is, of course, extremely relative to the child's weight as well as the season (it can last longer if the last stroller-days period is in the summer, and less so if a large child in winter clothing is being out in ;-) ), and also varies depending on the parent expectation (some mums consider a stroller seat with no space left already for a "too small" one, some mums still can use such for a few weeks to months...).

So take the recommended age range as only our consideration and experience - yours might differ.
