Chicco London

The Chicco London is a simple and affordable umbrella stroller. This lower version of the London Up is not equipped with a bumper bar. The all-wheel suspension makes the stroller easily maneuverable and provides a smoother ride through the city. The fully reclining seat unit is spacious enough even for older children. The London makes an ideal secondary stroller for shopping and undemanding strolls. The Deluxe version comes with a footmuff included. Once you unzip the apron off, the footmuff will transform into a seat liner. Older models of the London can be recognized by the wheels made out of hard plastic, later replaced by foam.

Your questions about the Chicco London

1)

Dear Eli,

What is the best buggy board for the Chicco London stroller?

Thank you

Hi, Shaddy,

I will have to start with the fact that, with such a simple buggy, a umbrella stroller will get loose and wobbly over time with a string from the kid board attached to the rear - this stroller was not designed to be used with one.

Having said that, I will recommend a Lascal Buggy Board Mini, or a Bumprider as these really fit the most universally. Still, I personally would attach such to a larger, sturdier pram, to be honest.

2)

I can’t fold down the stroller despite raising the rear locking mechanism & ensuring the back wheels are not locked. The handles don’t go forward so the structure is not folding - I only unfolded it last week so what’s going wrong please?

Hi, Anne,

It may be an internal wire or something in the joint brake/snapped and doesn't work anymore. I would suggest a bit of stroller maintenance here, meaning oiling, checking for anything in the way... if nothing works, the folding mechanism probably really got broken, and that is not really a thing you yourself can repair - then, Chicco's customer service or any other stroller repair service needs to come in, though very few of those are still operational, and even they might not be able to repair it, which will mean you'll need a new buggy.
