  • Truly magical fold :)
  • Easy navigation
  • Lightweight
  • Comfortable
  • Extendable canopy
  • Great for travelling/city walks
  • Does not go well on bumpy/slightly rocky roads - but I guess it is not the purpose of it anyway

Love it, but it is for not too bumpy roads. :)

Truly foldable with one click

4

A very compact, light buggy, truly foldable with one click.

  • Incredibly small after folding
  • Not seen on the streets much
  • LEVER-operated recline (no straps)
  • Flip-flop friendly brake
  • Lie-flat seat
  • Gate-opening buper-bar
  • Cup-holder and travel bag included
  • Short leg rest
  • Short seatback
  • The canopy extends with mesh that cannot be covered (only by shortening it)

I am really into the fold, so easy, almost nothing to do from my part. And it is so compact.

I do not love that canopy that kind of cannot be extended - if extended, the mesh above the childs head makes the sun shine straight on the child. Not even talking about when it rains...

Also, the seat size is not the largest - but it is, I guess, normal for a travel buggy. For occasional use, it's alright. For longer naps while doing a lot of shopping, better for smaller children.

Your questions about the Hamilton One

1)

Hi Eli!

I am so thankful I found this website. I have a Cybex Eezy S+2. It does the job but I don't think its compact enough and nice looking.

Ive been eyeing for Ergobaby Metro+. However, I recently discover Hamilton X1 plus and I think it has a better value (it includes a handlebar and cup holder). But I like the design of Ergobaby Metro+ because it is compact when folded.

Which one do you think I should get? Or do you think I should just use my Cybex?

Really looking forward to your reply!!

Hey, Marcelina,

Honestly, I personally would stay with the Eezy S+2. I mean, the difference in size is not as huge, whilst the comfort of pushing, especially because of the wheel size, will diminish with even smaller strollers. The Hamilton also has a bit smaller seat (plus more slanted), and overall it doesn't feel that great to me, quality and practicality-wise. I mean, it is OK, I just don't see it would be better, thus worth it, to change your Cybex for it.

About the Ergobaby, the quality is definitely superior to the Hamilton, however again, the smaller, harder wheels will just be a bit rattlier. The space saving also won't, in my opinion be worth a change.

However that is my subjective opinion and you feel strongly about changing, it could be good for you, especially if you like some other stroller more. Just be sure and found on those smaller wheels to be a bit less comfortable.

Hi,

Can I check if the One-step rocker pedal can be reposition to the center as it is slightly difficult to find the pedal when the stroller is placed at a awkward angle due to packed public transportation?

Hey, Ryan,

I don't believe you can reposition the brake rocker pedal.

I guess some skilled technician could take that part apart and somehow change the design (with some internal changes, e.g. to the brake cables, needed, too), but for anybody "normal" the brake pedal will just have to stay where it is.

It is hard to push when Hamilton wheel board is installed. Anyways to make it easier to pull? Is the handle adjustable for Hamilton x1 such that is longer giving more space in between the wheel board and the person pushing stroller?

Hey, Pin,

Yes, the stroller becomes hard to push, and the heavier the child on the buggy board, the harder it will be, You won't have pretty much any space for your feet so that weird walking will make it hard especially. The handle is not adjustable so the child will have to hold on it behind the handle.

In general, it is not advisable to have a buggy board on this stroller size, no space, bad push, and a very small frame that can get loose very quickly are simply the biggest downsides. Read more about buggy boards here to understand.

Can the carrycot be used without the seat during the first months? Would you recommend the X1 plus, Leclerc MP or [babyzen-yoyo-2-2|Yoyo2]]? Looking for a light traveller + city buggy. Thanks!!

Hey, Maggie,

As far as I know, it cannot be used without the seat - the seat can't be removed as a whole, and even if you tore down the fabric somehow, there would still be parts that would be awkward. It is a travel, occasional use stroller, and as such, the design is limited that (and other) way(s).

From your choices, personally, I would probably go for the Leclerc which feels like the better value for money, especially for such a small baby. That being said, I think there are better buggies for newborns in this size, especially the Ergobaby Metro+ or the Joolz Aer+.

What degree does the back rest recline to? my baby needs a full flat (near 180) but on your specs it only says will recline 150 to 180

Hey, nina,

The norm of the European Union is that a "full recline" is considered pretty much any degree above 150. This stroller is about those 160 degrees when relined fully - it is not that fully flat 180 degrees. I am attaching a fully reclined angle pic for you:

Hi, can a buggy board be used with this?

Hello there,

In theory, it probably can. A universal one like the Bumprider or Lascal Mini can be attached. The stroller, however, is so small that I would definitely not recommend it. First, you won't have any space fro your steps, and secondly, the small frame might become very loose, rattly, and even damaged from the strain as it was not meant for such use.

Hi Eli - where can I buy a Hamilton stroller in the USA?

Hiya, Emily,

I checked in their store locator and did not find any stores in the US, meaning they do not export there (anymore). I would probably search on Amazon or eBay, though, for example THIS seller sells the stroller from UK and ships to the USA.

Hi,

I would like to know if it’s possible to take off the fabric and clean the seat in the washing machine. If it’s not possible then how do you suppose to clean the stroller?

Hi, Anna,

It maybe is possible, but it is rather difficult and needs a bit of disassembling, and it definitely is not recommended. I have put together a whole guide to clean and maintain a stroller HERE so be sure to read that ^_^

Hello,

I would like to know if the carrycot can be directly attached to the buggy or if I need to buy adapters or in the latter case if those are included when I buy either one.

Thanks in advance!
Alexia

Hi, Alexia!

The Hamilton bassinet indeed does meed its own adapters to be attached to the frame. Usually, those are included either with the bassinet itself or with the travel system set (stroller + bassinet).

I have never seen them being sold separately, but it’s always best to inform yourself in the store/ask the seller to be sure.

Can you help - the airlines lost my bumper bar, where can I get replacement, please?

Hi, elizabeth,

I am sorry to hear that, but the only thing you can really do here is contacting either the seller you bought it from OR the manufacturer, Hamilton brand's customer service (support@yoop.global) or their Facebook page - this is a thing that needs to be ordered for you.

I wish you good luck!
