The Hauck Swift Plus is a new version of the ultra-light, ultra-compact Hauck Swift. The Swift Plus was released in new color designs and as opposed to the previous model, it comes with a bumper bar. It is ideal for the role of a secondary stroller and when traveling. Using the strap, you can also easily carry it. The small wheels with suspension and narrow chassis make it easy to stroll around the city and get through narrow store aisles. The seat is now padded with breathable fabrics. It is fully reclinable, making it suitable for smaller babies. The handles are suitable for not-so-tall parents.

You get what you pay for

  • Cheap
  • One handed fold
  • Great rain plastic
  • Bumpy push
  • Low seat
  • Difficult to push with one hand

I originally purchased this stroller because that was what suited my budget. However, you get what you pay for!

For such a cheap buggy, the Swift does have lots of good points. The seat lies flat making it suitable for newborns. It folds really easily with one hand. It is lightweight. However, the buggy does not push smoothly at all, possibly due to its small wheels. For a lightweight young child it is probably okay but the heavier (and older) the child, the harder it is to push. Also it is very small and has a low handlebar which makes it look a bit like a doll`s buggy...

For the price I paid I have no complaints, I would just say you get what you pay for.

It's a good buggy - compact and lightweight, but the wheels/ride are a bit hard/bumpy.

Your questions about the Hauck Swift Plus

1)

Can this stroller be used for 4 years - with a baby weighing 24 kgs?

Hello,

I will probably disappoint you, but this is a cheaper pushchair - and also a very compact urban one, meaning it is small = narrow, with a shorter seat surface, and therefore will feel cramped, small for such a larger toddler. The push will be difficult, and the frame might get very wobbly over time with such a weight (strain on the chassis). I would suggest something a bit more substantial for a 24-kilogram, 4-year-old child; otherwise, it won't be very comfortable. The child will 'survive' in it, but it will feel a bit like an adult sitting in a baby chair (this is, of course, a bit exaggerated but I'm trying to give you an idea of the feeling).

A high seatback has, for example, a Joolz Aer, but of course, it's a much more expensive buggy. Maybe a second-hand quality one would do..? Or look at mid-size pushchairs in the likes of an Oyster Zero or a Valco Snap Trend which will be much roomier for your child. Ultracompacts are not the best everyday/all-terrain/large toddler strollers, after all.
