Ickle Bubba Discovery

Ickle Bubba Discovery is a stylish umbrella stroller usable mainly in the city. The melange fabrics of the upholstery will help you shine on the streets - just as the metallic frame of the stroller will. The forward-facing seat is fully adjustable up to a deep-enough lie-flat recline and equipped with a canopy featuring a sun visor. The breathable fabrics match the shopping basket on the bottom side of the chassis. You'll also get a rain cover with your Discovery buggy.

Hi,

I purchased this stroller for my granddaughter and when it’s folded up it will not stand up with the brake on-it just rolls back down to the floor, how do I solve this problem as it surely can’t be normal for this to happen as everyone stands there strollers up when folded and that’s the main reason for me buying this one as it’s compact I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong

Hi, Lisa,

Not completely sure how exactly you're doing this, and which strollers you compare it with, though this stroller only can stand on the handles (not a very stable position! or leaning towards a wall. If the same strollers are standing and yours, in the same position, not, I guess there may be something bent. But I personally would just lay the buggy on the ground when folded, often umbrella buggies just don't stand too nicely on their own after folding. Sorry to not be of more help.

I have just bought one of the discovery strollers second hand and it seems to bend slightly in the middle and handles area bit wobbly. Is this just wear and tear or do you think it's unsafe?

Hey, Trina,

The wobbling of the handles is rather normal, especially with use. That I would not be worried about.

The bending though could be unsafe. I cannot judge without seeing that really, and if it's a very slight change it should most probably be ok, but if it causes a change in the handling, or if it's quite prominent - really bent and visible, I would be careful.

I want to take the hood off to wash how do I do it as it seems to be fixed?

Hello, Sophie,

You probably won't, unfortunately. You can try to clean it still on the frame - with water, soap and a gentler brush + a towel

I recommend this article about stroller cleaning and maintenance to help yourself out a bit.

Hi,

Would this buggy be able to handle a Lascal Buggy Board Maxi attachment that my three-year-old would use or do you think it's too light and would topple the whole thing over?

Thanks,
Marianna

Hey, Marianna,

In theory, it could hold up somehow, and if handled with care, it should probably not tip over, but I personally would not recommend using it with that. Especially the Maxi, you will have no space for your feet - for walking. Also, the steering will be VERY hard with the double handles. And lastly, the stroller will get loose quite fast as it is not at all ready for such a strain. For a VERY occasional, careful use, perhaps it could be used, but again, I would advise you against it.

What’s the height of the back rest?

Hi, Alice,

The manufacturer doesn't provide this information at all. However, if you'd want an approximation - an educated guess, I would say it is about 48 cm.

Why is the break not going down when the buggy is folded, does this never work?

Hi, Startelle,

I am not sure what you mean, but yes, it is possible that the folding mechanism prevents the brake from being activated when in the folded state. If the brake works normally apart from this, everything should be fine.

When I put the pram in the lie flat position, my boy just pulls him self back up, which pulls the buggy back into the upright position. Should it pull up like that, or should It have a catch to release it back into position?

Hi, Robyn,

This is pretty normal with these simple umbrella buggies - there is no lock not to take the backrest back up. Not sure about the word "should", but it is definitely quite a normal thing for this style of stroller, the recline mechanism is designed like that.

Since assembling the stroller it will not fold down far enough for the safety catch it click into place folded so opens up as soon as it’s lifted, how do I get it to fold far enough?

Hi there,

Try removing the belly bar and/or oiling the joints a bit (watch out for the fabrics to not get greasy). If none of that helps be sure to contact the brand's or the seller's customer service as there is probably some kind of fault/damage.

My discovery stroller seems to be collapsing on one side its like it's bending in the middle - can I fix this?

Hiya, Leanne,

I am sorry to say that no, you most probably cannot. The side is probably damaged to broken, and the bending is not something you could fix at home. I recommend either trying to claim your warranty if that is applicable, or simply start to think of a new stroller, because this could even be a health hazard for your kid.

I accidentally attach the wheel upside down, I need help bc I don’t know how to remove them, it's really difficult to find anything - can you pls give some more information about this?

Hey, Hira,

I am not sure what you mean by upside down, but I am guessing the left in place of right and vice versa. Unfortunately, the manufacturer nor anybody else provides the pictures in the manual or in a video, so my advice will be only general. Usually, there is a METAL little piece protruding that needs to be pushed. t releases the front) wheels. Another thing is to search UNDER the wheel and push/release something there (usually works with umbrella strollers. With rear wheels, a pull metal little piece is often present.

In any case, my best advice here is to contact the manufacturer - their customer service will know best. here is the contact form.

Also, to help others like you, I suggest making a YouTube video when you find out the exact process, and post it online - many will appreciate that greatly!
