Inglesina Quid

The maneuverable, Italian-stylish ultra-compact
.eli
see 3 parent reviews

The Inglesina Quid is an ultra-lightweight, ultra-compact stroller that is only 17,5 cm deep when folded. Being so small after folding, it is certainly travel-friendly - you can fit the Quid in the airplane's overhead compartment. The forward-facing seat is fully reclinable in the backrest area and has an adjustable leg rest as well. Its UV protective hood is extendable by unzipping as well as with a sun visor, quite rare for this type of buggy. The fabrics (even the canopy fabric) are fully washable. The Quid's other benefits include the larger, 16cm wheels and a larger-than-average storage basket with higher sides. A rain cover is included with the Quid; different accessories, including the Snug Pad seat liner insert for babies, are available to purchase separately.

This stroller is really fantastic for what the ads tell you it is made for - "ready to board", so - for traveling by plane. We already own the Inglesina Classica as our main pram for all kinds of walks - it is quite huge and bulky though - we also bought this one for practical reasons. It's incredibly lightweight, folds with one hand, and features a well-made chassis. It can be used from birth (thanks to the adjustable backrest). I improved it even more - I bought changing bag holders as well as put on it a practical organizer. Now it meets all my requirements for a travel stroller while I can fit everything I need into the basket.

Of course, it's not as comfortable as our "big" pram, but that's not its purpose - it's not an all-terrain stroller. If you are looking for a stroller for holidays, shopping trips... a stroller that fits literally everywhere (even on the front seat of the car), I definitely recommend this one.

Perfect for traveling

  • Lightweight
  • Compact - doesn't take up much space in the car boot, and I can fit it in front of the front seat as well
  • Expandable canopy
  • Adjustable leg rest
  • Small basket
  • Small wheels

Perfect for traveling :-) I am satisfied with it - not regretting this purchase.

  • lightweight
  • compact
  • beautiful
  • ideal from circa 5 months up to 1,5 year
  • in the car, it fits even in between the seats
  • the rotating bumper bar is perfection
  • viewing window in the canopy
  • shopping basket is alright in size
  • the child is sliding down in the seat
  • the sitting position is not completely upright
  • fixed handlebar - not great for a taller parent
  • after just a short time, it squeaks, and the manipulation with a bigger child (33 lbs, 15 kg) is quite hard

We are using the stroller since June. In the beginning, I was excited about it, completely blown away. I bought it as a second stroller, primarily to have in the car. It takes up only a little space, folds with one hand, and it's very practical - that were the reasons I bought it in the first place.

At the time of purchase, I was convinced that to choose this stroller was the best possible investment. After only an occasional use during shopping trips, I came to a conclusion it is not as good as I thought it would be. First, it is small (for my, now 23 months old, son). He keeps sliding down - even though I'm tightening the harness belts all the time. And, because he already got heavier than at the time of purchase of this stroller, the maneuverability also gets harder over time. Increasingly, I get the impression that I am 'working out' to get the stroller to turn... and I'm pushing it with two hands, I have to say. The center of gravity is wrong, or I don't know.

Moreover, the stroller is starting to squeak. And we own for approx. 4 months, while it wasn't used on a daily basis... It is in the car, used sporadically perhaps once a week - only in shopping centers, where, to add, the floors are absolutely smooth (it kind of skids on it). Not as much on the pavement, though - maybe it's because the wheels are worn out a bit already.

In the beginning, I had no complaints about it. Now, however, I am dealing with choosing a new one, where my two-year-old can actually fit.
