Silver Cross Jet

DISCONTINUED in 2019
see 2 parent reviews

The Silver Cross Jet was released for summer 2018. This ultra-lightweight, ultra-compact stroller is also compatible with a car seat. Thanks to the weight of 5.9kg only combined with the 3D fold, many airlines will allow you to take it on board as a carry-on, making the Jet an excellent companion for holidays or (shopping) trips. Once folded, it can be wheeled behind you like a small suitcase. The Jet also includes a handy cover to keep the stroller clean while you're traveling.

Suitable from birth, this stroller is softly padded and offers a full recline. You can also place your newborn baby into a Silver Cross car seat. With corresponding adapters, other car seat brands with Maxi-Cosi attachments are compatible. From 2020, the new Silver Cross Jet 2020 is available. This re-designed Jet for 2020 introduces 62 small improvements making it more maneuverable, durable, and sturdier while being equipped with a more spacious seat and available in new neutral colors and melange finish.

We use it almost every day

Compact and convenient. Stable and nice to push. We use it almost every day.

It doesn't feel that sturdy after a few months of use. The folded size is very nice, though, and the style as well - that is why we bought it.

Your questions about the Silver Cross Jet

1)

Our handle needs repairs, there are two buttons that need to be pressed in order to fold the stroller, one of them is not working, so the handle will not lock in position.

It is the round one on the bottom. I am assuming there is a spring or something within the button that has come out of place.

Would like to know how this button mechanism comes apart as I do not see any screws..? I would think it would pry apart at pivot point seam, but don't want to break anything by doing that before knowing.

Hi, John,

I am sorry but I don't have this information. Literally every stroller model is put together differently, and this one I've never put apart. I assume it can be just pushed out but I cannot tell you if it won't break. My own suggestion would be to definitely contact the Silver Cross customer service and ask them either about the process, or better yet, warranty coverage or service point(s), as you might easily break the part if just opening that not-so-sturdy plastic they use.
