Silver Cross Surf 3
The Silver Cross Surf 3 is the third generation of the luxurious Surf stroller with the original designer chassis made from magnesium alloy. The Surf 3 was launched in 2016. Compared to the previous - second - generation, the most significant change is that the single, large, fixed Trekking wheel already comes with the stroller included in the basic package. By exchanging the two smaller front wheels with fixed Trekking wheel, the predominantly urban Surf 3 transforms into the all-terrain here-wheeler suitable even for a light sport. An additional pop-out sun visor was added to the hood. The Surf 3 also introduces new colors and upholstery styles. It is available as a 2in1 stroller system with an optional car seat available.
The reversible bucket type seat can be tilted to a fully reclined position. By adding the newborn insert, the Surf 3 seat will become suitable from birth. The color set, consisting of a hood and a matching, zip-open apron, is included with the seat. The front of the apron has a zipper, so you don't need to take the whole apron off before your child is seated. You can pick the color you wish when buying your stroller. Other color packs are available, giving you a chance to change the look of your stroller over time. The carrycot shares the hood and the bumper bar with the seat unit. Thanks to the bamboo linning, the carrycot is also suitable for overnight sleeping. Premium versions of the Surf 3, such as Surf Special Edition Eton Grey, Surf Special Edition Expedition, and Surf Special Edition Henley, come with a stylish changing bag included.

Hey, Yvonne,
The frames do feel similar but aren't exactly the same, especially canopy-wise. I don't think, therefore, the hoods are interchangeable; there is also no official info about that compatibility. You can still try to reach out to Silver Cross customer service and ask them, but the safest bet is to go for the original hood.

The Tranquil is just an edition of the Surf, though essentially, it is the same model. Thus, yes, its hood and apron should work with the regular surf.

Would the wheels for the Surf pram fit on a Silvercross Pioneer? They look very similar but can’t see what the fittings look like. Rubber wheels would be ideal for what we use the pram for.

I don't believe they will be interchangeable, no. Yes, the design is kind of similar, but the frames are very very different, and so are the attachment points. I am pretty sure you cannot swap the wheels between these models.
