The Silver Cross Wave is a luxurious and variable stroller with a sturdy, robust chassis. The Wave is available as a 2in1 stroller system with an optional car seat. It can be used for just one child in the basic configuration; however, there is a possibility to create a tandem double stroller. By adding other components, the Wave offers 16 various configurations. To make your life easier, the simple-to-use brake can be activated by pushing one side and deactivated by pushing the other. Thanks to the well-ventilated base and hood, the carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping. The reversible bucket-type seat with a weight capacity of up to 25 kg can be one-handedly tilted to a fully reclined position. It is also possible to adjust the leg rest individually; what is more, it is doable by using just one hand. The hood is shared by both the carrycot and the seat. The extendable hood with the additional sun visor also provides UPF50+ sun protection.
A unique feature of the Wave is the reversible seat adapter. By simply turning over the adapter, the height of the seat unit or the carrycot can easily be changed. The adapters allow you to change the position of the carrycot or the seat from low to high.
Together with the second connectors, the elevated position is used in combination with the additional adapters to create a tandem configuration. Adapters - connectors come with the stroller included, so the older sibling can be placed in the seat and the younger in the carrycot, enabling you to use the Wave in the One plus One mode straightaway, without buying anything extra. By purchasing the tandem carrycot and the additional, identical seat, the Wave will become suitable for twins from birth. If you wish to have either carrycots or the combination of a seat and a carrycot in an elevated position, you will need another (extension) adapter. Heavy yet feels a bit flimsy and the design is lacking. I don’t think I could handle a steep hill with both children in. The main issue I have is that the main seat and tandem seat are not interchangeable, so in different scenarios I’ve had to opt for one over the other because I have a car seat with me or I have the bassinet with me and it just one more thing to think about.
If you’re buying this stroller, buy all the additional parts with the initial purchase because SC change the colours all. The. Time.
We have a 2yo and a 4mo who are on the bigger side and my oldest is basically too big for the seat - the harness barely fits and the foot rest doesn’t fold down very far so she’s a bit uncomfortable.
I wish I hadn’t gone for the bucket seat, it just means that folding the stroller effectively does nothing for space saving. I can’t fit the chassis, main seat and tandem seat in the boot of my car and I have a pretty big car.
If the heavier child goes in the tandem seat, facing forward, it makes it quite hard to push.

I was choosing a tandem stroller for a very long time. Finally, I decided to purchase the Silver Cross Wave, and I do not regret my choice. Not only it has a beautiful design, but it is also handy, quite lightweight even with 2 children, and easy to handle. The folding is also easy. The shopping basket is spacious, which is an advantage when we go shopping.
The wheels are made of a foam - we will see how they will look after some time. There is a lock feature on the wheels, and the break system is also okay. The chassis is sturdy, so I do not have to be worried that something will break off. The chassis weights 11 kg and the seat unit 3.9 kg, which is equal to my previous the X-Lander X-Move (total weight 15kg). However, the Silver Cross feels lighter to me.
The seat unit is great, and I like the bucket-type of seating, UV protective sun canopy, the ventilation, and the included net and rain cover. The only thing I have been missing at times is the ability to adjust the backrest in the carrycot, which I appreciated with the X-Lander.

Juat wondered if you know how far back the footrest goes? I guess im asking does it go far back enough to let your toddler put their feet on the footplate that is riveted to the chassis like they can on the wayfarer. Many

It doesn't go too far back, I'm afraid. It just goes in the position on the pictures, and then up - it doesn't fold backwards. A tall child can, however, bend its knees over it to put them on the footrest.
