Hauck Rapid 4D Air

The 2022 updated Rapid with air-filled wheels

see 3 parent reviews

The Hauck Rapid 4D Air is a 2022 release and an update of the Rapid line known for its quick, one-handed folding system thanks to the strap on the seat that only needs pulling up to fold the pushchair in half. The Rapid 4D Air is also a bit more all-terrain "brother" of the Hauck Rapid 4D, which, instead of the inflatable rear wheels of the Air version, has simpler PU rubber wheels in the front wheels and in the back, too. Despite the air-filled rear wheels, though the front PU rubber wheels of the Rapid 4D Air are rather small, and the stroller is not suitable for harsher terrain - more like a more versatile version for urban use if you have bumpier roads around you.

The Rapid 4D Air sports not only the updated wheels; it also boasts covers with more padding, a renewed, higher-coverage shaped hood, and new colorways to choose from. You'll also appreciate the lie-flat seat, the 25kg weight capacity, and a cup holder included with the pushchair.

parents say thx^^
  • Air filled tyres on the back
  • Really large seating space
  • Really big gap between end of seat and canopy which makes it usable for years and particularly for taller toddlers
  • Compact, quick fold
  • Light (10.5kg)
  • Super generous canopy with peekaboo, out of a tough polyester that stands wind, rain, winter minus temperatures
  • actually a suprisingly sturdy buggy for this price
  • the padding is not great, definitely requires an extra inlay to be bought
  • if you are really tall you will trip all the time on the brake mechanism (not actuvating it but still annoying)
  • break is fiddly and also not flipflop friendly

Our top pick for toddlers, especially taller ones. We are coming from expensive and well rated Joolz Hub Plus and Thule Sleek, as well as a TFK Dot 2. I would choose this Hauck almost any day to the Joolz Hub Plus.

Only three examples: the canopy on the Hub is a joke compared to the one on the Hauck, whereas the seat space on the Joolz is made for tiny babies and tiny toddlers up until 2 years max. The fold is 5 seconds on the Hauck, 35 seconds with practice on the Hub Plus.

A nice buggy for that price

  • price
  • looks
  • padded fabrics
  • extra cushioning thanx to the rear inflatable wheels
  • accessible basket
  • lies flat
  • easy fold when you get the hang of it
  • cheaper polyester fabrics
  • front wheels are smaller, not awesome on real bumps
  • taller parents will kick the rear axle
  • bumper bar doesn't swing open, has to be removed completely
  • cheaper plastics
  • heavy
  • bulky for a small car
  • fold gets stuck at first, not really a one handed one

A nice buggy for that price. We use it occasionally with my 2.5yo toddler.

A very nice price and the stroller works ok, though it is not too luxurious and definitely not for "countryside" – at least if they meant terrain. The front wheels are too small and rattly for that, and you don't go forward with your larger air-filled wheels. Ok for your usual everyday use, just a bit bulky.
